Like many others, I found Cake Mania 3 to be very challenging when I got into the third and fourth levels. I read through all of the comments and started a new game using everyone's suggestions. Success!! So, here is (hopefully) a well-rounded list of tips and suggestions to get through the game.
Upgrade to the refrigerator fairly soon in the game. An excellent strategy is to make the most expensive cakes ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator. It saves time and brings in more money. If you know you're going to win the level once the bakery is closed and not letting in more customers, go ahead and make a couple of expensive cakes for the refrigerator. They'll be there at start of business the next day and you won't waste any time making them.
By the way, before you hand out menus to the customers, make sure the fridge is full. You will be amazed how many customers order the cakes from the fridge and how fast the money piles up. I have almost all the stages reach "Super goal". (only 2 of them didn't make it. :D )
This game is so much fun. However, I have read all the comments, tips and advice and went on to start a new game - use all the tips (although I can't get the money one to work that Gina posted) and now I am in the China Door and I can't even beat LEVEL 1!! The goal is $780 and I can NEVER get past $691. What am I doing wrong?I have 2 Gold ovens, 2 Gold Icers and the fridge, and the fastest shoes and that is it. I make every cake and serve them while the customer still has 4/5 hearts. I sometimes have to wait for a customer to come!
ShaS, I think your problem is you have two frosters. One froster would be much easier (I know that's hard to believe) because then you wouldn't be having to switch a cake between frosters to get all the right colors of frosting and you could serve more people. A fully upgraded topper (preferably the one that has the time bender topper on it) would be helpful too. I try to save my money and buy as many toppers at a time as I can (rather than one at a time), though the volcano topper is over $4,000, but you can get all four for that price if you wait till you have that much money.
I followed all of the tips and was finally able to beat the game. I highly recommend following the advice of "S" which was posted 12/6/08. Do not under any circumstances buy multiple ovens or icers, it is just too complicated. And I also recommend saving up enough money to buy the topper all it once, because if you do it incrementally, it totally slows you down. Also, definitely get full shoes pretty soon in the game, otherwise Jill moves to slow and you don't get enough customers. Lastly, YOU MUST HAVE THE TV! Unlike the first Cake Mania where the cupcakes seemed to be the best way to get extra patience, in this game you must have the TV or you won't win it, pure and simple.
Thanks for the tips u guys. I've finished the game and it wasn't really all that difficult to me. There r new things to get used to like special characters but nothing true cake maniacs can't handle or get used too. My question is how do you start over again to get to other trophies. Once I was done it went back to the title screen and played the theme song. I dnt wanna hit new game and start my process completly over. With full time school and work it took me a while to complete. Can n e 1 help?
I am in my last world...future world on my last day. All my products are upgraded to the fullest. I have to acheive 1200 points but I cannot get to it. I have played this game over 67 TIMES over the span of 3 months!! Someone please help. I'm really bummed out and don't even want to play it because I cannot beat it. The dinosaur eats the people and I can't get people to stay in line long enough, even if i serve the dinosaurs first. Can anyone help! Thx!
Hi, I just recently got this game and was wondering, how in the world do you do the mini game, cakey makey?? I am stuck on that! I've enjoyed the past couple of cake mania games but this mini game I just can't seem to figure out and has been bothering me! Can anyone PLEASE help me out? I would greatly appreciate it. I understand you have to make those cakes in box and have 3 lives, however, when I stack up the cakes with what is needed, where do I put them? The instructions are very simple, make those and put them in the box. What box are they talking about? I only see the box they come out of unto the conveyor belt and then where the waste goes at the end, where in the world do they go? I don't understand! Please help!! Any input is greatly appreciated.
The drinking machine is not 100% useless. I understand why many are calling it useless, but trust me, its not 100% useless as many are making it sound like. Here's the problem. You have 2 specific options to choose from and that's either using the cookies or the drinks. You cant use them both as many have said and they are right on this part, because having the cookies and the drinks are a bit time consuming, so choose only one of them to fully upgrade and use, and both of these cost $2000 a piece which is very easy to achieve at earning at the start of the game. Also, both have their pros and cons.
4. Fully upgrade Jill's shoes to give her constant full speed throughout the game. I think somebody or maybe a couple of people pointed this out earlier but I'm going to say it anyways. If its repeat then okay. Anyways, When Jill is moving fast, most of everything else almost don't too much matter. Not saying that you shouldn't worry about nothing else but upgrading her shoes to full upgrade, but I am saying that when she moves at full speed, it makes the game almost easy to play because you are not stressing over running out of time and even if you haven't upgraded your ovens and/or frosters (not saying that you shouldnt because you should), you cut back on the amount of time that it takes for Jill to reach point A to point B if you know what I mean.
7. Don't forget about the refrigerator! As many have said, create 3 cakes that are 3 layers in any way you want and place the most expensive toppers that you got on top of them. Another bonus about the refrigerator is that when all your other tools are upgraded to gold you can sometimes goof around and create 3-layered cakes with toppers and place them in the refrigerator, which usually gets sold between the level you are currently playing and the next level after it. In other words, get that refrigerator ASAP! Yeah it will cost you $3000, but trust me, its worth more than its price tag, because it often times will be the one saving your butt whenever you are faced dealing with angry customers. If you have an angry customer or more and cant stop them from leaving, sometimes you will get some customers coming in that will spot a cake in the refrigerator and be like "Dude, give me that cake right there!" No loss of hearts, no time of trying to bake a cake, nothing. You just walk over to the refrigerator, take a cake out, hand it to a customer, and cha-ching! Easy money! So save up some money to buy the refrigerator, and do this at the beginning of the game.
